The Texas Rangers came into Saturday night's match-up against the Atlanta Braves looking to bounce back from 6-3 loss the night before. Texas didn't only debut a new uniform with the 1970 throwbacks; but also outfielder Zach Reks made his big league debut and collected his first major league hit with a RBI single.

Dane Dunning set the tone early in the game striking out five of the first six batters he faced. Dunning had a very efficient outing not going over sixteen pitches in an inning. After an Andy Ibanez error in the top of the 8th inning, Dunning's night came to an end going 7.2 innings, allowing 1 run, 3 hits and 7 strikeouts. This was also Dunning's longest outing of his career.

Corey Seager continued his hot streak, hitting his third home run in his third consecutive game in the first inning. Sam Huff and Zach Reks joined the major league squad tonight and contributed right away both collecting hits and driving in runs. The performance tonight against the Braves could be seen as the best all around performance for the Rangers this season. Texas will look to take the series tomorrow with the lefty Taylor Hearn on the mound and have the day off on Monday before traveling to Philadelphia for a two game series.
