Adolis Garcia's big moments against the Astros continue in the opener of the Loner Star Series

Dane Dunning got the start on the mound for Texas and he looked to build off his outing against Seattle where he earned the loss. Dunning's first inning struggles continued as he got off to a rocky start giving up a solo shot to Yordan Alvarez in the top of the second inning; but settled down allowing only two hits through his last four innings. After a two out single by Yuli Gurriel, Dunning's night came to an end. He finished going 5.2 innings, giving up 5 hits, 2 earned runs and 5 strikeouts.

Chris Woodward continued to experiment with the lineup, as Adolis Garcia was slotted into the No. 2 hole and had Corey Seager batting third. The Rangers offense came to life in the late innings which hasn't happened much this season. Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien came up with a RBI single in the seventh inning that tied the game; and was followed with by Corey Seager line drive single. Entering Monday, Garcia was hitting .329/.373/.686 with 17 RBI's, seven home runs and a 1.059 OPS against the Astros in his career and the success continued as he came up with a bases clearing double to give the Rangers a four run lead and their seventh win of the season.
